LVD – Low Voltage Detection module was initially developed by Aeon Electronics for Reliance Infocomm Limited in the year of 2006 to annunciate against battery bank low voltage situation for mobile networking stations. Even though the MSU manufacturer had provided a sophisticated PMU, the alarm failure and site shutdown was a frequent phenomenon. In this situation M/s Reliance Infocomm Limited had asked us to develop an electronic circuit-LVD- to use as a secondary low battery alarm sensor against the existing PMU. Now it has been proved that the Aeon Electronics make LVD cards are very reliable and how contributing to reduce the outage of the network.

We manufacture LVD cards for -24V and -48Volts.The battery voltage to be sensed is applied to the card through screw connectors and the alarm output is available via potential free NO-CO-NC contacts. The card is very small in size and fixation is very easy by using mounting studs and nuts provided with it. The card is very reliable and rugged in design with reverse voltage protection circuitry, high voltage protection circuit etc.

Burn out test is also carried out under strict quality control after the accurate calibration as per the vendor requirement before the dispatch of each card. It also contains a preset knob with the help of which one can do the site calibration if needed. This card is also incorporated with visual indications for system OK (Green) if the card function is normal and low battery alarm (Red) when an alarm condition is generated.
